Hi there, we are new to the area and need to find a doctor. English speaking if possible (as we have only been here ten days and our Spanish is improving, but still terrible!). We are based in Vejer de la Frontera so someone close by would be great ( we know there is one in Jerez but its a bit far as we don't have a car). Any ideas from the Baywatch community? Where do people usually go? Thanks  |

Hi Perfect........ welcome to the area and the Baywatch community. There is a Social Security clinic in Colorado and there is a doctor there who apparently speaks perfect English. Also the clinics in Chiclana have the odd doctor who speaks English as well, so it's worth asking. According to my doctor, the general rule is that most of them CAN speak English, but generally WON'T!In the meantime, although Doctor Kate's surgery is in Jerez, she's brill as a medic and 100% as a person. You may well be able to consult with her somewhere closer...it's worth asking. Of course, better than all this - - stay well  |
